Who should use Accountable2You?
The software is designed for anyone wanting to be accountable. This includes families, churches, organizations and businesses. This software is not designed to fight addictions but rather encourage purity while using your computer. The software is not to be used as spyware.
What about my privacy?
Accountable2You software uses your account name for all records processed. We do not collect any personal information about your or your computer. You and your partners email addresses will never be sold, or used for any other purpose than to send system messages.
The software does not monitor keystrokes, capture screen shots, or collect any type of personal information.
All transaction between the software and Accountable2You are encrypted. The records are stored on a secured server in a protected facility.
The only data sent from the software to the server is Internet Partner records (website URL), Windows Partner (application information), program configuration information and diagnostics information.
The Accountable2You Product Suite software does not contain spyware or adware of any kind. It does not collect personal information about you. The Accountable2You Product Suite does not come bundled with any third party software. Your privacy is very important.
Will Accountable2You's Internet Partner compromise my computers security?
No! Information like bank accounts, Social Security numbers and Social Insurance numbers are not recorded. The software doesn't record keystrokes.
Product Suite Questions
Can the software be turned off?
Yes. This is an accountability tool. It will not take over your computer nor cripple your Internet in the event it is turned off. The software has a Close Accountable2You button. It allows you to enter a reason for closing the application. All occurrences of the Product Suite being turned off are logged to the Product Suite report.
This software is designed with accountability in mind. The software runs checks to make sure it is running properly. If it detects a problem, it logs the event to the Alerts report.
I've had the question asked "If this is an accountability tool, why can I close it?". I believe that if a person is determined to sin, they will find a way to sin. A software will never prevent a person from sinning. Everyone has a propensity to sin. The only way for a person to stop sinning is through the enabling of the Holy Spirit in the power of salvation. Salvation is accepting Jesus the Christ as your only, God provided substitute from your judgement before a Holy God. Will the Product Suite record activity that occurred before installation the product?
No. Recording begins after installation.
Windows Partner rates windows titles based on questionable content. Why doesn't Internet Partner?
My desire is to stop the temptation of looking at adult content through accountability. I felt that rating a website would not tell the accountability partner enough information about what that website contained. This would "force" the accountability partner to click on the link and view the content to verify that the content is adult in nature. Accountable2You is strongly opposed to this. I do not want to promote the adult industry in this way.
I also saw that adult content could be accessed in many different forms besides the Internet. Programs could be loaded onto a computer that were adult in nature. Internet Partner would not see this activity. Windows Partner will capture the title and report the activity.
Can the Accountable2You Product Suite run with other accountability programs?
Yes. The Product Suite will not be effected by any other accountability package. I encourage you to try our software along with any other you may already have installed on your computer.
Do accountability partners need to install the Accountable2You Product Suite?
No, Accountable2You requires accountability partners to become members, but doesn't require them to install any software.
